Moscow Metro Gets First Chemical Anti-Terrorist Sensors

Commuters using Belorusskaya’s circle line station in Moscow will be the first to get themselves scanned by a new detectors designed to pick up traces of explosives or poisons as the capital steps up its anti-terror efforts. The scanners had already been installed and were being tested.

At the station there are already working sensors for chlorine, carbon dioxide, chemical warfare agents and radiation.
Central safety control: The plan means that anyone bringing TNT onto the station will be detected immediately. That information will go to a control centre which can make an instant decision about how to respond.:
