2 000 Cases Of Kidnapping In Northern Caucasus Unsolved

Over two thousand cases of kidnapping which took place in Northern Caucasus during the recent years remain unsolved.
Almost 1,5 thousand of this sort of crimes fall on Chechnya. Simultaneously with the increase of the number of registered reports of disappearances of citizens by 4,3 % (up to 3247 cases), the number of cases of finding people has reduced by 17,6 % (2577 to 2123).

Department of Prosecutor General’s has worked out a complex program of struggle against kidnapping and search of missing people for the period of 2011-2014.
