Russia: Anti-Terrorism Solidarity Day

Commemorative ceremonies will be held in Moscow on 3th September, on Anti-Terrorism Solidarity Day.

Hundreds of Muscovites will gather at the places of attacks to pay tribute to the memory of people killed by terrorists.
Meetings and flower laying ceremonies at memorials will take place near the monument to the Beslan victims at Solyanka Street, on the square before the Theatre Centre at Dubrovka,….
The first terrorist attack was committed in Moscow on August 31, 1999, at Manezhnaya Square in the large shopping centre Okhotny Ryad. The bomb explosion injured 41 people. One of them, a woman, died. In the autumn of the same year, two apartment buildings were blown up. Acts of terror took place in Moscow in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2010 and 2011. The attacks killed more than 570 people.
